As opposed to live-in carers that are available both day and night, overnight carers are generally scheduled to be in your home between the hours of 21:00 and 07:00am (a 10 hours period).
Night care assistants can provide a variety of services to suit your needs. Their regular duties, tasks and responsibilities will depend on whether they’re hired to provide sleeping night or waking night care.
Overnight care is recommended choice for those who have specific needs during the night but are otherwise supported during the day by loved ones or other carers.
This may include both elderly clients with disabilities, as well those with long-term or short-term care needs such as the following:
✓ General domestic duties, including laundry, light cleaning, and admin tasks.
✓ Help with cooking and meal preparation.
✓ Any specialist care and support according to your needs.
Available from 21:00hrs to 07:00hrs Mon to Sun including Bank Holidays.
By joining our care giving team, you will be able to build a career that is right for you.
A sleeping night carer’s presence is mostly for reassurance and peace of mind. They will sleep in your home while you do, but are available to make one or two calls per night for the following:
✓ Assistance with trips to the bathroom or continence care.
✓ Preventing falls and accidents at home.
✓ Help with dressings and pain relief.
✓ Prompting to take prescribed medicines.
Service available from 21:00hrs to 07:00hrs Mon to Sun including Bank Holidays.
*The cost of overnight care is often determined by the level of care required, and there are different rates for sleeping and waking shifts.

We will help to match you with a carer who meets your requirements and has the right skills and experience. After that, the care team offers regular reviews, carer supervisions and extra support as may be needed from time to time.
